November 2020

The amazing fall weather continued into November and we could not get enough of the sunrises and sunsets. The dogs and I enjoyed getting to continue our daily walks and Mikayla even joined us for a few. Copper and Penny make us laugh with their antics and it brightens my day watching them out my office window. Penny will taunt Copper and then when it leaps for her she runs as fast as her little legs will take her to find cover. She is pretty good at the duck and roll.

Since the pandemic is still in full swing and keeping us close to home we invested in some new puzzles and took on some small home improvement projects. New living room ceiling fans, oven hood vent, and benches. While I was building the benches the kids joined me in the shop, using my scrapes and their imaginations to create villages. We also added a coffee/tea "station" and added a breakfast bar for when we have large gatherings. The kids out grew the plastic picnic table we've used for years.

Mikayla has become great friends with our neighbor girls, it's fun having kid pop in and out of the house playing together going from one house to the next. Mikayla likes to stay busy so it's nice to have someone close for her to play with. The trampoline continues to bring joy to the kids. It is a great tool for getting some built up energy out. We lost the net to the crazy wind storms we've had this year, it blew so hard it bent one of the poles that the net was attached to. I guess it's better than losing the whole trampoline!

Thankfully our school continued to remain having in person sessions and the kids are thriving. They ended up taking a few extra days around Thanksgiving to allow for a deep clean of the school and providing time for everyone to rest and stay healthy. Mikayla not only love going to school but she loves to pretend play school at home. We have been watching the Mandalorian as a family so she led me through a directed drawing of baby Yoda and the Din Djarin, I think I did pretty well.

The pandemic kept us home for Thanksgiving and potential exposures meant we weren't not sure what we would end up doing. However, it worked out where we got to spend Thanksgiving at Ron and Linda's and we had a wonderful day. So wonderful I didn't even get pictures!

Mikayla was so excited for Christmas that she created her count down to Christmas in November.

Kyle and Cami also shared the first picture of their little girl. We are so excited to welcome a new niece into our family and I can't wait to meet her!
