Christmas time is in the air and we decided to keep things as simple and joyous as possible this year. usually I am against fake Christmas trees but I hate stringing the lights on real trees, so I broke down this year and got a pre-lit Christmas tree. It end up still being very beautiful and I didn't miss the scent of a fresh tree as much as I thought I would.
We worked on another Gingerbread house for entry into the Community Library's contest for the Christmas stroll. I was happy that our little town decided to still have the Christmas stroll as it's a wonderful tradition.
Copper and Penny got all spiffed up with a grooming. Having a dog with long hair and a double coat is taking some getting used to. I guess I'm thankful that my floors are now cleaner since I vacuum multiple times a week?? Not sure I am thankful about the hair you find in your food, on your pillow or your black leggings.
To make room for two dog creates and because our bed frame was having some issues we decided to finally buy new furniture for downstairs as well. We only received 1/2 of the new couch because we had to special order the other 1/2 but the kid enjoy the gigantic ottoman and the great fort making ability it gives them.
Our windows in the living room gets condensation on them when it's cold outside and the blinds are down. The kid usually enjoy drawing on them, one morning Copper decided to get in on the actions and created his own masterpiece. We think it's a self portrait.
Both kids joined me on my walk with the dogs and the sunrises and sunsets continued to not disappoint.
With the darker days and colder weather, Ethan is spending the weekdays in Butte. We miss having him home but know this what is needed to keep him safe.
In an effort to keep Copper's energy at a manageable level, I take him to doggie daycare once a week. His daycare captured the best picture of him and turned it into a Christmas ornament.
My back continues to give me trouble, despite all the work I put in at trying to strengthen it and do all the right things to heal it. I went in for a cortisone shot in my SI-joints and it was the first blizzard of the year, I tried not to take it as a bad omen.
Just like Halloween pictures the annual picture by the Christmas tree really shows how big the kids are getting.
We spent Christmas Eve at Ron and Linda's house and then enjoyed Christmas day at our house with Ron and Linda, Zach and Rashell and the McCoy's. It was a wonderful day and a full house which made my heart very happy.
Sean got 5 Lego sets for Christmas and I had to pace him at putting them together. My favorite was The Razor Crest from the Mandalorian. Typically he doesn't keep Lego set together very long, he slowly takes then apart and builds new things. I love seeing him use his imagination but we have SO MANY legos around the house that I told him he had to keep these sets together, especially the Razor Crest. To ensure he followed directions he had to put it on the shelves in my office for safe keeping.
