After a long winter we had a lot of snow pack and then rain in the spring. Everything was so green and beautiful. When driving to Eastern Montana I don't think I'd every seen the hills as green as they were. The run off and rain caused the rivers to rise and many got to flood stage. To get to the house we have to cross the Jefferson River and it's high water channel. We kept watching the river rise and waiting for it to go over the road. It held off for a long time but finally made it's way across the road. They officially closed it for a couple of weeks and we had go the long way to get to town. The wet weather brought fun yard visitors, beautiful skies and green land and mountains making it all worth it.

After the water receded.
