The kids and I headed up to Kalispell for a short vacation. The drive was breathtaking and the yellow fields of canola were something I had never seen before. We love getting to spend time with the Jones and Berkram families. I feel so lucky to get to be a part of both of these families and the kids love the fact that there are so many friends to play with. When all the kids are together there are close to 15 total. Who wouldn't love having that many people to play with!
Mike had a cousin in town so we ended up going to Glacier for a day to do a small hike and spend time with his mom, aunt and cousin. Funny turn of events is that his cousin was actually on my floor when I was an Resident Advisor at MSU! Lisa, Mikayla, Gelene and I went to get pedicures. Mikayla had been begging me to get one with her and I just had not found the time. We headed to Whitefish to ride the lift to the top and do the Alpine slide again. While we were waiting for the Alpine slide we got to see a grizzly bear wandering on the mountain. He was really close to the trails people were biking and headed toward where the lift went but he found his way into the trees and away from the commotion. Sean got to do the slide all by himself this time. He was a little hestiant and ended up going to slow that Mikayla and I and then Gelene and Oscar caught up to him. I think he needs to work on his upper body strength to be able to push the lever to go faster. We'll see how he does next time.
Whenever the kids and I ride in the back of Lisa's van we like to take selfies. It's becoming a tradition of ours.
Mikayla instructing Gwen on workout techniques.
We broke into Chad and Jenna's house and stole some Peanut Butter Bars of Goodness. It wouldn't be a trip to Kalispell without getting some of this dessert.
