The end of April and May were very busy. We had signed up for the annual Mother's Day Women's Run and visit to the Zoo but as the weekend approached I knew I just needed some down time at home, which turned out to be the best decision. Mother's day ended up being a low key weekend. The kids showered me with homemade gifts and Ethan took me to a movie. It was exactly what my soul needed.
We fit in the zoo visit when we went back to Eastern MT for memorial weekend. Sean was our guide and we enjoyed some of the new exhibits and animals.
This Great Horned Owl was awesome to watch.
Ethan stayed home to help with the Marine Corp Gold Star Shoot. Mikayla had been saving up her money to buy a trampoline and after her birthday she had just enough money. Ethan surprised her with purchasing it and having it all set up when we got home.
The was their "free" week of summer where they got to relax as much as they wanted, before starting summer rec and hopefully getting some structure to the summer. Much to my dismay they probably got more "relax" time than I would have liked.
