Museum tours, Montana Outdoor Science School, tumbling classes, science experiments, walks by the river, swimming and paddle boarding at the pond, nerf gun and water gun fights filled the remaining days of summer.
Mom ordered the kids kits from Kola crate which provided them with fun activities. Here they built a machine to paint with.
They enjoyed many visits to the Museum for the Tours for Tots program. Here they learned about bears and used coffee grounds to make their own.Sean spent 2 weeks at Montana Outdoor Science School. He enjoyed learning about ponds and puddles.
Family building time.
Grandma Barb bought Sean a volcano kit a few years ago. He has begged and begged us to be able to do it, so we finally did. He thoroughly enjoyed making this and watching it "erupt"
Grandma made big bubble makers and all the neighborhood kids had fun with these. The bubbles were huge.
We made Sean's day by going to the mall and letting him play the Jurassic Park game.
We built a farm and made sure all the animals had a proper home.
Mikayla enjoyed playing in her "hot tub"
Sean was very crafty and made his own volcano, complete with a pterodactyl flying around it.
Another week at Montana Outdoor Science School.
They painted shirts the last day. Sean painted a fish, I think he said it was a small mouth bass.
We spent an evening throwing rocks in the river and enjoying the peacefulness of the outdoors.
We enjoyed time in the backyard, Sean took the wading pool and became a turtle. It was cute watching him waddle around the yard.
I took Sean to see the angry bird movie earlier this summer. When it came out on video he had to have it and he has watched it about 10 times. Ethan watched it with him and now these two play angry birds a lot.
We spent time being silly
Another fun idea Grandma found making an indoor pond.
Another tours for tot visit where they learned about constellations.
I had the opportunity to take them to the last tours for tots before Sean started school. They learned about gardens and were able to pick some fresh yummy veggies out of the heirloom garden. Then they painted a carrot with carrots.
