We had so much fun in Hysham last year for the 4th that we decided to go again this year. It was wonderful to spend time with family.
We started off the 4th with a 5k. I convinced Larisah to run it with me and I don't think she will be doing another one anytime soon. My cousin Rici also joined us and I like how she pushes me to keep going. We all "placed" because we were each in a different age group and there were only 5 people running the 5k we all came in first. Mikayla is biting my medal like she is an Olympian.
Sean and Larisah rode in the parade. Sean was a little apprehensive at first but I think really enjoyed it.
Mikayla wanted the candy but did not want to go get it. Luckily Uncle Kyle likes to pick up the candy.
Ethan and Kyle made sure we had fireworks and put on a good show. Almost too good with a mishap and a little fire! Sean picked out all the animal fireworks anything that was or had animals he got. This is his new pet turtle.
Friday the kids and I went to Miles City to watch Forsyth play baseball. All of my Aunts and Uncles were home so it was wonderful to catch up with family.
Mikayla was more interested in eating than watching the baseball game.
After the game we headed to the annual Rosebud Fourth of July event. We enjoyed the picnic and the kids played on the playground equipment until Sean flung off the Merry-Go-Round and got a skinned up arm. They got tired right about the time the fireworks started so we watched them from the car and headed back to Hysham.
While everyone enjoyed the picnic Sean and Mikayla played as siblings do.
He is hauling her off to jail.
