Mom enjoyed the garden we planted this year. It became a bit overgrown by the end of the season but we harvested an abundant amount of zucchini. By the end of the season the chickens and deer enjoyed cleaning it up. We even caught a showdown over the garden one evening.
We enjoyed a visit with the Jones'. Lisa and Mike took in the first MSU home football game while the kids and I enjoyed some quality play time.
Since Sean learned to ride his bike without training wheels, Mikayla decided the she wanted to try her bike without training wheels. It took her a few more days then Sean but she mastered it.
Before school tooth brushing selfie.
This is the face of a very excited 8 year old. I forget what he was excited about but he was very excited.
My kitchen helper.
Sean participated in fall soccer. Unfortunately he missed his last game because he was sick but he had a good season overall. He also decided to try Taekwondo and not do scouts this year. We attended an open house and once he saw the black belts break boards he was hooked. He has been working hard and is getting close to being able to test for his first belt.
We enjoyed a couple of of playdates with Finn. No matter how much time goes by these two pick up right where they left off. Best friends forever I think.
We celebrated mom's last day of chemo treatment! She started the 31 days of radiation and is excited to have all of this behind her. She is really excited for her hair to grow back.
We had a small celebration for Ethan's birthday. I started a 2nd job at the pizza place in town and had to work the night of his birthday. The kids enjoyed picking out his cards and sharing his cake. I took him to all you can eat crab night at the Sac to make up for having to work on his actual birthday.
Sean worked hard doing chores this summer and saved up his money so he could purchase this Jurassic World lego set. He was very proud that he saved up over $100 to be able to purchase this.
As fall approaches we see more little friends around the house. This guy made me shiver as I saw him walking across the basement windows.
Sean enjoyed a trip to the hay maze for a classmates birthday. He was very excited when he made it out and decided to go back and try again.
enjoying some brother, sister bonding time. I really hope their relationship remains strong in the years to come. However, I'm sure the teenage years will test it.
Time spent playing games with Grandma Linda.
Mikayla likes to come in and work with me before going to school in the morning. She loves school and her teacher says she is a very helpful and caring student.
The kids had their first concert of the year for the annual Veteran's Day concert. I ended up having a meeting I couldn't get out of so I only caught part of Sean's song and saw Mikayla walk off stage.
These two kids love to run around the house in only their underwear. Getting them to get dressed is quite the feat. It snowed a little and they went out to play, this is how Sean dressed to go outside.
Ethan and I attended the Marine Corps Birthday Bash this year. Even though dressing up is not my favorite thing we had a good time and enjoyed spending time with Racheal and Kevin.
