Odds & Ends

There are days where spring seems so near and then the next day is full of snow. I am looking forward to warm days and green grass but until that time comes we are trying to make the best of it.
Finding joy in the beautiful sunsets.

Finding joy in treats and drinks. It was a rough day at work which I feel impacted my decisions at the grocery store.
Enjoyed playing with my Cricut that Ethan got me for Christmas. I have wanted one of these for a long time and look forward to the projects to come.
Sean's school was celebrating Dr. Seuss week at school and each day was a theme day. One day they got to dress up like their favorite Dr. Seuss character and he chose blue fish. Grandma Barb threw together an outfit for him. It made his day.

We have played Superman (or maybe Green Arrow) and raptor attack.

Last week I took away technology from the kids after they didn't get ready for school on time. They easily found new ways to entertain themselves. Kitty cat cage.

Sean had a Kindergarten showcase where I got to go to his classroom for an hour and he showed me all the cool stuff he has learned and have been working on. He also showed me different part about their day like when they do calendar.
Winter reminded us that it was still here. I was very cranky when I woke up this day and I went to wake Sean for school I told him to look out his window, he sat up in bed, looked, then fell back to bed and said "6 more weeks of winter". Thank you Sean for the reminder. So on the way to school we tried to think of all the positive things about snow and that made our day better.
Sean is really into legos now and spends most of his time building raptor cages and feeding cranes for them.

Mikayla has enjoyed playing with the fort construction toys Grandma Barb got them, she however prefers to use it as a cage or horse stable.

Woody and Brownie in their stable ready for hay and a brushing.

Our New Adventure

Ever since we moved into the new house and the kids found out we have a chicken coop they have begged for us to get chickens. I told them they had to start proving they could be responsible and help out around the house, which has had it's ups and downs, but once I saw the chick day sign from Murdoch's I decided we should give it a try. Sean and I headed to town to get all the supplies and pick out our chicks. I am very nervous but excited about this new adventure.

Kyle's Wedding

We had the pleasure of attending Kyle and Cami's wedding. We are so happy that these two found each other and have chosen to spend the rest of their lives together. We are excited to have Cami join the family.
We attended their legal ceremony in Billings on January 27th. It was a lovely ceremony at the courthouse with a fun judge taking time to make it special. After the event we headed to the Rib & Chop house for a great dinner and drinks.
Then Ethan, mom and I headed to Punta Cana Dominican Republic for the big ceremony.
The flights were not fun and involved an overnight in the airport, but the resort was amazing. We spent time at the beach, enjoyed a massage at the spa and enjoyed good food and drinks.

Ethan was very tired from the travel and while I was getting ready for dinner he fell asleep.
Mom celebrated her 70th birthday while we were there. I was hoping to take her out on a glass bottom boat but the weather the days we planned for were stormy and the water was choppy so we didn't get to go.  She enjoyed her time at the beach though.

Saturday, February 11th was the ceremony. It was beautiful.

Cami's stepmom and nieces make their way down the isle.
 Here comes the man.

 Here comes the bride.
Happily watching his bride walk down the isle.

 Exchanging of the rings.

Combining of the sand.
 The kiss!

 Reception time.
 Fmaily picture.
The next day storms came in but I had a little reading time by the beach.
While exploring a nearby resort we had a visitor.

We had a friend roaming around in the airport while we waited to board our flight home.
The kids spent 7 days with Grandma and Grandpa Jung. They helped Grandma decorate for Valentine's Day.

Become close buds with their new dog Frank.

Indiana enjoyed his time with them too.
Sean was a little scared at night so his new bud Frank hung out with him.
Mikayla loved her new outfit Grandma Barb brought her.
