October odds & ends

Sean and Mikayla have really been into drawing and creating artwork. They spend a good portion of the weekends working on their masterpieces.

Sean had to decorate a turkey for school so we all pitched in and made a wonderful masterpiece.

Sean got the “Kid Caught Caring” award at school.  When someone catches them doing something nice and treating others as they would like to be treated they can get an award. Sean helped another kid zip his coat on day and so he got a ruler.

Sean school did a fundraiser and Sean was very excited because if you sold stuff you would get animal key chains.  Anything animal will get Sean excited.  Thank you to everyone to helped him meet his goal and get all 6 animal key chains.

When they aren’t creating artistic masterpieces they are playing doctor or animal or dinosaurs.  This day Sean made a frog habitat and was leaping around his leap pads.

Not sure why the stool needed socks but Mikayla thought it was a good place to store them.

Dance parties have also become a regular event at the house.

When we returned home one day two packages had been left on our doorstep.  They were Sean’s birthday presents and he was very excited.  While I hauled in stuff from the car Sean and Mikayla had hauled the packages to his room. I told him he couldn’t have them in his room they need to go in mommy and daddy’s room so it could be wrapped. I went to get another load from the car and when I came back this is what I saw.  I guess they make a good team sometimes.

Sean was long overdue for a haircut so the kids and I enjoyed a trip to town, we did some shopping and enjoyed the morning.  Cousin Rici and Bryan were in town visiting so on our way back home we picked up Bryan and he spent the afternoon playing with the kids.

We also saw our first snow of the fall. Living out of town has been so much fun because of the wildlife we get to see.  We mainly see deer but after the first snow we saw little foot prints our our deck. It looked like this little guy hid in our bbq for shelter.
