Thanksgiving

We are playing catch up after very busy holidays.  We had the opportunity to enjoy time with almost all our family which was a blessing. For Thanksgiving we traveled to Forsyth and Hysham. I was reminded of the holidays when I was a kid and the adults would sit at the table at Grandma and Grandpa Deitchler's playing cards until all hours of the night while the kids ran around playing. I found myself now the adult at the table playing cards while the kids played in the background. It was a wonderful holiday which sparked many wonderful memories.
We had a snow storm the night before we left with made travel a little scary, but the views were beautiful.
Mikayla will find anything to ride anywhere she goes.
 Playing hand and foot.

It must have been a good day because when we got back to the hotel Mikayla immediately climbed into bed and tucked herself in.
One of the things I miss about home is the sound of the ducks flying over and landing in the fields during migration season. I was thankful to have an opportunity to hear and see them.
We of course had to visit the horses.
Mikayla was very sad and could not understand why Woody couldn't come into the house and play.
On Sunday the kids and I decided to take in a movie that Sean had been wanting to see "The Good Dinosaur".  This was Mikayla's first movie experience. She was impressed.  She yelled to Sean during the exiting parts of the movie to make sure he saw them.

She enjoyed the big bucket of popcorn and almost ate the whole thing by herself.
