I can't believe it is September! We enjoyed summer to it's fullest and with smoke filling the air from summer fires I am ready to welcome fall. Life in the Jung house is full of the usual craziness. Mikayla is still fighting stomach issues. Linda and I were supposed to run a 5k in Butte, however, Ethan and I ended up taking Mikayla to the ER on the Friday night before the race. She had a horrible week and by Friday night I had enough. We left Whitehall at 1am and headed to Bozeman. We waited two hours to see the Doctor and discovered that on top of the digestion issues she had an ear infection in each ear. We are trying some other treatments hoping that is pays off but I can't take much more of seeing my little girl in pain.
Our first weekend home since May had me a little bored, so I decided to paint the kitchen. It has been a while since we have done any home improvement projects. Mikayla really wanted to help with the paint but after a few brush strokes she changed her mind.
I completed a few craft projects too. It has been so long since I've used my creative side that I forgot how much I enjoyed it. I hope mom and I get to do a lot of projects this winter.
Mikayla loves her bags and loves to fill her purses and backpacks and walk around the house. She decided she was going to get ready for school and she pulled on a pair of Sean pajama shorts (notice both legs in one) and put on her back pack and was headed on her way.
Horses are Mikayla's other favorite thing right now. Sean was gracious enough to be her horse.
We enjoyed a horse show where we had the chance to watch Larisah compete. Sean's favorite part was the tractor that sprayed water on the dirt and smoothed it out. He decided that Papa Jim needs one of these.
This little rider was only 6 or 7 years old. Sean decided he wants to be a cowboy and try this too.
This was Larisha's first show and she did a great job! Very proud of her and looking forward to seeing her compete again.
Mikayla loves to help with everything. She has found a joy of cooking and wants eggs every morning so she can help prepare them. She is really good a cracking the eggs.
She has also discovered the best part of baking!
She enjoys wearing my shoes.
I am very impressed at her ability to walk in them.
We headed to Forsyth to watch Mickey's season opener football game. Sean of course was not impressed and enjoyed the playground and swings more than the game.
Fall colors were starting to peek through.
Mikayla threw the ball around a little. She is going to be the athlete in the family.
More horse play.
Mikayla is really into pictures. She loves taking pictures and likes to steal my phone. She also likes to have her picture taken and then look at it. She had a new outfit on today so I had to get a picture.
She made sure I took a picture of her back too.
Belated birthday present from the Kehl family. She packed her new purse with her blanket (which she lovingly calls guppy), her new sunglasses and pushed her shopping cart to the door. The little diva was headed off to see Larisah, Papa Jim and the horses.
Both kids have been learning to ride their bikes. They both have come a long way and we enjoyed the nice fall evening with a ride to the park.
Mikayla is a big help even when it comes to putting the dog poo bag in the garbage
Such beautiful, wonderful smiles. Love these two little ones so much!
Yummy, yummy. Constant words spoken in this house. After our ride to the park I decided to sit down and write this entry on the blog. Pretty soon these two show up, Sean with the strawberries and blueberries and Mikayla with a bag of bacon. So true to each of their natures.
Sean told me today that when he grows up he is going to change his name to Steve and become a crocodile hunter. He has discovered Steve Erwin Crocodile Hunter on netflix. I told him that he could probably keep his name and Sean and become Sean the Crocodile Hunter. However, I also encouraged him to become a veterinarian first so he could enjoy working with all animals and I would prefer he took a safer job route than Steve Erwin! He has been into animals more than dinosaurs lately so we may have a future vet vs. paleontologist.
