For Mother's Day this year I decided that I wanted to do the Women's Run in Billings. I decided to push myself and run the 5 mile race. There were a record 8,700+ participants for the 2 and 5 miles races!! My goal was to try and finish it in an hour but figured it would be more like 1 hour and 15 mins. I didn't really do any training so thought an hour would be stretching it, however, I surprised myself and completed it in 58 minutes and ran almost the first 2 miles before having to walk for a few minutes. I was 145 out of 316 in my age group and 755 out of 2280 overall. Not bad for someone who has never ran 5 miles before!
Red face to show all the hardwork. I don't think my face has been this red since playing basketball in highschool.
Mom, the kids and I invaded Kyle's house again this weekend. On Sunday he took mom to Miles City for their annual Mother's Day horse races. The horse races are their tradition and I was glad they got to do it again this year. The kids and I stayed behind and took a trip to Home Deport to gather information regarding upgrading some items in Kyle's house. I love decorating and doing it while spending his money is a bonus. By the time they got home I had everything planned out with some estimates for him. Now we just need Ethan to start us on the actual work.
Sean was funny because all weekend he kept telling us he was in charge. I told him it was mommy's weekend so mommy and grandma were in charge. We were eating dinner one night and we began the back and forth of who is in charge. He turns to me, looks me straight in the eye, cupped his hands around my chin and said "listen here missy, I am in charge"! It was the funniest and cutest statement ever. But no Sean I am still in charge.
