Dance parties, Animal fun and Camping

When Grandma Barb was here in July she bought Sean some glow sticks to play with.  The whole time she was here he went to bed before it was dark enough to use them.  However, we found them the other day and had a rave of a dance party!

We have continued to work on our animal imitations and are moving on from sounds to actions.

The dinosaur stance! ROAR!

This past weekend Ethan and I decided to go camping, just the two of us.  Sean got to spend two days with Papa Ron and Grandma Linda.  Once again he kept them busy checking out the garden, watering flowers, going on wagon rides, and even picking choke cherries.

Our camping trip started off a little scary as Indiana decided to jump out the window of the car when he saw a gopher run across the road.  All of sudden we didn't hear Indiana's tags on his collar jingling, Ethan looks in the side mirror and sure enough he sees Indiana rolling head over tail along the side of the road.  Luckily he doesn't appear to have injured himself, expect maybe his tail, it looks like a lions tail at the end is bushy from being swollen.

Ethan and I wanted to hike up further past the open meadow we found last time we went camping.  We knew it would be a steep rocky climb and there were a few times we wondered if we would make it, but we made it to the top and it was well worth it!  This hike reminded me of one of the first hikes Ethan took me on where I thought he was crazy and trying to kill me, this time he blamed me for trying to kill him.

An old Coca-Cola cooler sitting in a stream next to one of the cabins we found.
The view, almost at the top.

The loader that was probably used to make the trail we hike on.
See the structure in the picture?  Yep Ethan hiked clear up to that structure and to the mine shaft above it.  Indiana and I only made up to the tree line as Indiana was getting a little overheated after the climb up the rocks.
Where's Ethan? He is wearing a red shirt.
