Christmas Spirit

Getting in the Christmas spirit. It's hard to believe the holiday season it upon us. Sean and Mikayla wrote their letters to Santa. Sean asked him for the biggest Minecraft lego set is could give him and for a good year to have fun. Oh and his two front teeth.

Mikayla would like a cash register and lego set.
Finn invited Mikayla to his house to decorate cookies. She was excited to spend time with her friend and came prepared.

Grandma Barb took the kids to the Three Forks Christmas stroll while Ethan and I attended the Langlas holiday party. Grandma didn't want her head to freeze so she bought them all Santa hats to where.

Grandma helped the kids decorate ginger bread houses for the Library's gingerbread house contest. The did a really good job and Sean took first place for the 7-12 age group! Mikayla was very bummed that she didn't place but we are excited to try again next year.

Mikayla was excited because she won something at school. She couldn't really describe what she did to win the chocolate kiss candy cane but she had a good day and that's all that matters.
As a surprise early Christmas present we took the kids to the Billings Zoo Lights display. We took a horse drawn carriage ride through the zoo. It was a very nice evening and we were excited to spend time with Uncle Kyle and Aunt Cami.

 Sean's favorite display.

 Mikayla's favorite display.

Enjoying some relaxation time in front of the tree.

Odd & Ends

We have not had much snow so far this winter, it has been very mild compared to last year. We did receive on good snow during Thanksgiving break and we made sure to take advantage of it.

The snow made Indiana act like a puppy again.

Mom had her last day of radiation and has officially completed the cancer treatments. She has 5 years of medicine and check ups ahead of her but the hard part is hopefully behind us. She also got a job subbing at the  Three Forks Library and is excited about this new adventure.
Our chickens went on strike and haven't laid eggs for about 3 months. It seems the molting season hit them really hard and we did not do a good job of preparing them for this. They are making up for lost time though.
The kids had a day off from school and Grandma had to work at the library so Mikayla spent time under my desk drawing and coloring.
Sean worked hard at making a miecraft world out of all his minecraft lego kits.

We face timed with the Kehl's and Mikayla promised to draw them a picture when we were done. It was a wonderful picture complete with the superman symbol.

House Progress

We continue to make slow progress on a few remaining items on the basement. We are all worn out on renovation projects and are looking forward to working at a slower pace. We completed the snack room cabinet and shelves as well as the liquor shelf. We painted one of the bookshelves and have one more to go.
