Pre-Christmas Fun

This year Jon and Michelle talked us into going tree hunting with them to find a Christmas tree. The morning started off rough, really really rough but we made it in the car and were all smiles. We didn't find a tree we loved but we found a great one for Jon and Michelle. It was a beautiful day and a great little hike. We stopped at a tree lot on the way home to pick up our tree but the kids had a blast and memories were made.

Mikayla wasn't feeling well the night we decided to decorate the tree but we saved all of her ornaments and she enjoyed putting them on the tree the next morning.

Grandma helped with writing the kids letters to Santa this year. Sean wants lego minecraft set, or jurassic world, or  zoo video games. Mikayla wants barbie toys and barbie house.
Mikayla's pre-school had a small program. They sang 4 cute songs and enjoyed showing off their hard work.

Odds & Ends

Mikayla is trying to perfect her gymnastics and turned the living room into an obstacle course. She also enjoys playing horse show and making Grandma announce her and her horse before they perform. Mikayla likes to imitate The Voice and mimics what she sees contestants do on the show. I am sad to report that many of our alive and well family and friends have died so Mikayla has a sad story to say before she sings her performance. Mom and I then have to decide if she gets to be on our team or not.

Mikayla likes to use my headset from work to sing into. She also likes to pretend to work like Mommy and talk to her co-worker Kacie.
It was time for Sean to get new glasses. We couldn't agree on a pair to get but finally landed on this pair that are blue with a green stripe through them. They aren't quite as cute as his dinosaur pair but they still look good on him.

After Thanksgiving we had some whip cream for the pie and Mikayla insisted we get out the Pie in the Face Game they got last year for Christmas and play it. They kept pulling their heads away when they were about to get it in the face so I just smeared it in their face. That is what they get for cheating.
Grandma, the kids and I enjoyed time at the Three Forks Christmas Stroll. It was a cold night but we enjoyed hot chocolate, visiting with Santa, looking at the Gingerbread contest entries and the horse carriage ride down main street.

Nature continues to give us awesome bonuses.

Mikayla and Sean playing vet again. She was mad that I was taking a picture and Sean wasn't in it.

With winter upon us we decided we needed to get Grandma out of the camper and into the house. We were ready to start sheet rocking at least her room, so Ethan and Ron worked to get it done while the kids and I were in Kalispell. Having sheetrock on the walls finally seems like we are making progress. Even though we've done a lot of work already this is where we start seeing the actual finish line. Grandma will be living with just sheet rock walls until Spring, when we'll have to move her out again to do the mud and taping. For now she is enjoying the warmth of the house.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we had a pretty low key day spent with Ron, Linda and their friends Ed and Bridget. Linda asked us to have the kids make napkin rings for dinner and Grandma Barb went above and beyond making beautiful turkey napkin rings. I forgot to get a photo of them but Grandma Linda was very impressed. The kids did help with most of it.
I enjoyed reading what Sean was thankful for this year. A blickite (blanket), Famulee (Family), Lizrd (Lizard), teacher and his sistr (sister). Sean also wanted to help and decided to make Thanksgiving dinner. His imagination is so wonderful and his dinner was delicious.

Kalispell Fun with the Jones/Huff/Berkram Families

The kids had a long weekend so we decided to head up to Kalispell to visit. The kids had a great time with having so many friends to play with. Lisa, Jenna and I also enjoyed some girl time at an antique fair, where Santa talked us into doing an "Elfie/Selfie" and doing our annual girl's night ornament. This was the weekend after the big snow we got so the drive was beautiful but the roads were clear which was perfect. All the kids enjoyed sledding, Mikayla was really shy at first but she was willing to go down the hill with Gelene. She was all smiles by the time they got to the bottom.

When you get to rid in the back of the van you have a little fun.
