We headed to Forsyth for the weekend to spend time with family and pay our respects to our loved ones. Saturday Mom and I took Sean, Mikayla and cousin Bryan to Glendive to visit he dinosaur museum and Mikoshika State Park. I had wanted to take Sean to the museum for a long time. It is an interesting museum that presents the history of dinosaur from the view of creationism. I highly recommend it as it really makes you think and question what is commonly taught. They also had a wonderful bible collection that contained bibles from the 1500 and 1600's.
A vertebrate from a brachiosaurs. The size is amazing and I can't imagine what it would be like to see something of this size living and in person.
Learning about cells. Makes the science teacher in me proud.
Mikoshika State Park is an amazing beauty of natural formations. I'm glad we visited early in the summer because it was a beatiful day with a nice breeze.
Sunday we visited our loved ones.
Mikayla saying hi to Great Great Grandma Hope. So many amazing people I was blessed to know and have in my family.
After the cemetery we went back to Rici and Barry's to celebrate Shaunessy's birthday. Mikayla needs to work on her blowing candles out.
Bryan tried to teach Sean how to bat. Sean is not the most athletic person and he wanted to give up. But Grandma is determined to have a baseball player so she made him try a few more times. He did finally get a good hit.
After baseball it was back to dinosaur hunting or snake hunting.
Monday on the way home we stopped at the Pictograph State Park in Billings. Mom has always wanted to go there so it was as good of time as any. It was a nice little park with wonderful glimpse of the past. Sean also got to see his first real rattlesnake! Luckily the rangers caught it and had it contained and we didn't run into in on the trails.
