Mikayla is still horse crazy and found two movies on netflix about trick riders. She now has her own "tricks" she does.

East Coast to West Coast
Another month come and gone. After our trip to Wisconsin we enjoyed a week at home shoveling and playing in the snow.
Mikayla's first sled ride. Sean was a wonderful big brother and made sure to keep her safe.
Daddy and I even enjoyed a few rides down the hill.
Mikayla made a biiiggg feast.
Sean made an ice age village.
My early riser deep in thought.
January was a travel filled month. I actually was in four US timezones! One week after we got back from Wisconsin I headed to Washington D.C. for work. I spent a week attending trainings and learning some amazing new stuff. My flight to DC had me experience a lot of firsts. The plane in Bozeman ended up having mechanical issues which delayed the flight. We had to deplane and I had to get rerouted. The plane ended up leaving earlier than expected so at my first stop I reworked my flights so I could get in earlier. Another first was I saw three other planes out the window on my flight into the D.C. airport. It was crazy to think about all the coordination that has to occur to make sure the planes don't collide in midair.
A week after my return from D.C. Mikayla and I travel to Washington state to vist the Jones family and meet new baby boy Oscar.
We had an early morning flight and I thought the view of Seattle morning traffic was very interesting.
We had a fabulous visit in Washington. Mikayla and Gwen played very well together.
Lisa's sister Jenna also visited the same time we did. We labeled this the "roomie reunion". Lisa, Jenna and I lived together during and right after college. Before there were husbands and kids it was just the three of us experiencing life together. 12 years later we are all married living in different states and there are 7 kids total. Time goes by so fast and things change but I am forever grateful to have these two in my life.
Mikayla was absolutely smitten with Oscar.
I rather enjoyed the baby snuggles as well.
We passed on the tradition of what "girl's time" is all about. Gwen and Mikayla enjoyed helping make the sweet treats we indulged in.
We took advantage of the few minutes the sun came out in Washington and took a walk to the park.
Yes, there were multiple days of "sweet treat making". Jenna also bribed Mikayla with candy so she could braid her hair.
Jenna was a great cook. She cooked and I cleaned she thinks she had the better end of the deal but I disgree. The food was all amazing and I'm so excited for new recipes.
Cutie pie Gwen! She finally warmed up to me and gave me a smile.
As always when I visit Lisa she always has decoration projects for me. We had a fun time setting up Oscar's room.
Glad to be back in the big sky.
Thankful for lazy Sunday's and opportunity to see my family so happy.
All the travel and sitting in airplanes did a number on my back. I haven't been too much fun for the kids and they have had to entertain themselves. I was laying on the couch and knew they were playing in the sink but when I stood up I had no idea...oh well it's only water and they had a great time.
