Beyl Family 50th Anniversary Celebration

Uncle Jim and Aunt Thelma celebrate 50 years of marriage this year. It is an amazing accomplishment and all they wanted for their anniversary was to get all 8 of their grandkids together.  Rici planned a camping trip in Big Timber and invited us to join.  Richard's family ended up not being able to make it for the weekend because Brady's baseball team made it to state and the tournament was the same weekend.  The kids, Mom, Snooks and I joined in the camping fun. Sean said it was the best camping trip ever!  I think he really enjoyed having other kids to play with.

We explored Natural Bridge State Park. Sean knows that this tells you about what you are seeing and like to make sure we read it to him so he can learn about it.

Mikayla did not get a good nap.  She fell asleep in the car for the 20 minute drive and was pretty cranky when she woke up.

Mom was holding my camera while we explored the really cool part of the falls but here are some pictures of the bridge and mountains.

Can you find the Lion's Head?

We saw an amazing number of deer and elk enjoying the yummy fields.  We had to stop many times on the way back to let groups of deer cross the road.  It was an amazing and beautiful site.
Grandma and Sean having smores and fun by the camp fire.
 All the kids.

Sumersaults were how the kids enjoyed their time.

 The adults played pinochle.
Sean and Mikayal pretended to sleep.

It was a wonderful weekend and I hope we turn it into an annual event!

Whitehall Frontier Days

The kids and I joined Ron and Linda for Whitehall Frontier Days. Ethan and Jon took the Jeep on an adventure for the day while we enjoyed the parade, bouncy house, art show, snow cones and listening to Ron sing.

Sean helping Papa Ron open his birthday present.

This bouncy house thing is pretty cool. Just chillin having a good time.

Mikayla on the other hand bounced and bounced and bounced.

Enjoying our snow cones waiting for the parade to start.
Sean is ready to collect all the candy.
Face painting.  It's a little blurry but surprisingly it's not a dinosaur it's a frog!
The weekend ended with a water fight. Sean vs. Ethan and Ron. Sean had the hose and held his own for a while.  It melted my heart watching all of them play. A very cherished memory.

We also had an amazing view while enjoying the water fight.

Odds & Ends

The crazy days of summer are coming to an end. Our adventures have been few and far between the last few weeks. However, things in the Jung household are never dull.

Mikayla is turning into a little girl. She is on a dress kick right now.  She has found every dress she owns and has worn them the last few weeks. She discovered that you can twirl in them and they make a circle. She actually calls them circle.  When you dress her in the morning she says "circle, circle".
Mom took them to the museum and she was all dressed and ready to go.  I tried to get a picture of her as she headed out the door because she was a little diva with her Coach bag, blanket, backpack and drink.

Sean wanted me to take a picture of him since I took one of Mikayla. He of course was dressed in a dinosaur shirt.
I was lucky to have my camera close so I could capture this precious moment between daddy and daughter.
We visited Grandma and Grandpa Jung again because Linda and I were going to do a 5k in Butte. Well Linda was nursing an injury and Friday night Mikayla had a rough night, crying out during the night. By 12:30am I had enough and I decided to take her to the emergency room.  I think I finally broke after 2 years of dealing with her being sick all the time. Ethan and I got in the car and headed to Bozeman ER. We had to wait 2 hours for a doctor. They did an xray of her abdomen and there isn't a blockage or anything so it is just constipation. We also found out that she had an ear infection in each ear which was most likely the cause of the pain. I'm glad to have answers but will not be happy about the bill I'm sure. Oh well Mom's have their limits too. The next day we headed back to Whitehall. Grandma played with Mikayla's hair and got it back in a ponytail.
Ron and Ethan watched the kids while Linda and I headed to Butte to have fun antiquing. Before we left we enjoyed push ups on the porch.

Mikayla put on a pair of Sean's pajama shorts (notice that she put both legs in one hole and is wearing them like a skirt). She put her backpack on and was so proud of herself. She said she was going to school.

Sean got his Ranger Rick Magazine and they had an article about making animals out of food. As soon as we got home he begged me to make something for him.  We had all the fixings for the crab so I told him I would do that. Not to bad if I say so myself.
He was very happy.
I forgot to post a picture of the kids 4th of July art projects.

Grandma Barb took them to the children's museum and Sean got to make a crab out of his hand.
At preschool since there has been so much smoke in the air or it's been so hot they have had to stay inside a lot.  They got out bingo markers for the kids to play with the other day. Sean made a school of fish.
They learn at a young age how the beaters are really meant to be used.
