The World of Mikayla

Look at me I'm sooo sweet.
 and sassy!
I'm a cutie pie. Ready to go to Gwen's baptism.  Let's "go, go"!!!

Time to "kasplore"

A look at our trip to Great Falls to watch the Forsyth Girl's Basketball team in the state tournament narrated by Sean.

It was a beautiful drive. We saw a sign that said we had to watch out for Big Horn Sheep on the road!  Great Falls is neat we should come here again someday with Indiana and Daddy to "kasplore". Volcanos also "kasplode"!

There was a Dairy Queen across the street from our "Homtel"!!! They have a playland we had to go!

Mom can I please have the fish and chips? I'll eat it I promise!
Hmmmmm....
Yeah I'm full.
Our homtel had soooo many pillows we made a beaver dam.

Weekend trip, swimming at the "homtel" and playing with Bryan at the ballgames sure makes for a rough Monday morning!

Other Sean quotes from the trip.
"Last one there is a rotten acorn"
"Guys I love you to pieces but you breaks my heart"

More Basketball

Last weekend we went to Billings to watch Forsyth at the divisional basketball tournament. The girls won the championship and are headed into the state tournament undefeated. We stayed at Uncle Kyle's (our vacation home) and enjoyed watching the games. Uncle Kyle and Ethan helped Dad doctor some cows so Ethan says he is a real cowboy now. However, the next day he put his carpentry skills to the test and built a mantle for Uncle Kyle's fireplace.

A visit to Billings means dinner at Red Lobster. Sean got to see the lobsters up close and personal.
Sean of course had to have an Icee at the ballgame. He was so busy eating it and scooping to the bottom he didn't realize he poked a hole in it. His pants had a nice red stain on them.

Bathroom Business

At our house bathroom business is a family affair.

As we have been trying to potty train Mikayla Grandma Barb usually sits on stool in the bathroom and reads her a book. Sean has started thinking he needed the same treatment. The other day he asked me to come into the bathroom and read him a book but I told him he was a big boy and knows what to do. The next thing I know this is what I find in the bathroom.

Museum Playdate

Sean had not seen his good friend Ashlinn in a while so we decided to have a play date and visit the new dinosaur maze at the museum. They are so cute together. As soon as we picked her up they were in the car chatting away like two old friends. Grandma Barb, Snooks and her grandson joined us for the fun.
Ashlinn is such a ham and loves to have her picture taken.
Trying on some dinosaur feet and walking like dinosaurs.

A fun climbing wall.  Sean said he couldn't do it but he kept trying and finally made it most of the way.

 Digging for fossils.
 Enjoying a snack.

 The friendly eagle.

Dr. Visit and Getting Fit

Mikayla had a very cranky week and after she bit mom and shoved Finn to the floor I decided I had to take the little monster to the doctor. She had another ear infection which was the cause of her crankiness.  Sean had to come with us because he loves the "theme" rooms and likes to play with the toys. This time we were in the sport theme room.  I thought Sean would be disappointed but after the conversation he had with mom regarding practice to get better at something he decided to practice his shooting technique.

Mikayla and her buddy Indiana. He always makes her feel better.

I gave Mikayla some strawberries to eat and she immediately found my smoothie cups and put them in those. She is so smart and mimics everything she sees.

Mikayla enjoys exercising with me. She likes downward dog.
 And leg raises.

At almost 2 years old she is sure a spitfire and has a spunky personality. She keeps us on our toes for sure! She has a lot of words in her vocabulary but you really have to listen for them and often she will only say it plain as day one time and then moves on to new ones. Her favorite words right now our the "B's". Bubbles, ball, balloon. Her other favorite word is pop and Grandma Barb has to hide hers unless she wants to share it all. She also has started calling all women Mom and all men Dad.

Penguin Play

Grandma Barb got a cool new book with many ideas for fun things to do.  One of projects was how to build a swamp world (Grape Kool-aid and cornstarch was involved) and a penguin world.  Sean and Mikayla enjoyed playing with both of these.  Mikayla like eating the ice and the penguins.

Sean then decided that the extra mattress we have looked like an ice world so they made a penguin slide. Hours of entertainment.

Our Little "Grandma"

Mikayla and Sean have a Mr. Potato head toy.  Mikayla loves to wear the little glasses. She was sitting in her rocking chair with her blanket drapped on the back and her glasses.  She looked just like a Grandma.
