Happy Easter

We headed to Whitehall to celebrate Easter with Grandma and Grandpa Jung.  Mom, Kyle and Snooks joined us as well.  It was a wonderful day!

Mikayla and Sean enjoying the nice weather while waiting for Uncle Kyle to arrive.
Mikayla likes playing catch.
Holiday time means more sugar cookies.  Yummy!  Best batch yet.

What do you do with all the leftover flour and sugar?  Why it's dinosaur snow of course!
Mikayla "helping" do the dishes.  We have a similar picture of me when I was her age that I wanted to post but I couldn't find it. Like mother like daughter.
We went to a local park for an Easter egg hunt.  Sean is waiting for the horn to go off.
He got very scared when the horn sounded and all the kids ran.  He only ended up getting 5 eggs, but that was enough for him.
 Dying eggs.
 Look at my eyes mom.
Hope reading Sean a book while waiting for the eggs to be hidden.
Kyle, Ethan and Badger hiding the eggs.
 Found one!

Bye bye T-Rex

Grandma Barb and Sean went to see the Wankle T-Rex off at the Museum of the Rockies.  This T-Rex is going to Washington D.C. on loan to the Smithsonian for the next 50 years!!  Mom said they had a great time.  They had a motorcade where you could follow the big Fed-ex truck out of town and mom asked Sean if he wanted to follow, he said he wanted to go look at the other dinosaurs.  So they wandered around the museum for a little while and then Sean said "okay I'm ready to follow the truck now".  Mom told him that it was too late it had already left and she didn't know where to find it.  Sean's response was "go to Washington D.C".  She said it would take 5 days to get there and he said "that's okay I'll just sleep in the car."

Sean was very relieved they weren't taking Big Mike from outside.

Rough Week

Last week was rough and we are glad it is behind us.  The stomach bug hit our house again and Mikayla decided to start getting 2 molars, she was not a happy camper.  The teething and the sickness digressed all the progress we had made to getting her to sleep through the night.

When she was feeling better mom decided to go through her closet and find the items she hadn't worn yet.  Here she is in a pretty dress.
I just don't think she likes dresses.
But she is sure a cutie in them.
Since she has been feeling better she is back to her old tricks.  Finding ways to climb on everything.  She got the step stool from our bedroom brought it into the play room, put it in front of Ethan's desk chair and climbed up.  She tried to climb from the desk chair to the wood stool by the window but luckily mom was there to tell her no.
Here she is using the step stool again.  I have a feeling she is going to be the one with the first broken bone.

Play-Dough Fun

Sean and I played with play-dough the other night and Mikayla was very interested. However, since she likes to stick anything and everything in her mouth I decided to dye some yogurt and let her play in that.

Balloons!

Lisa's baby shower was this weekend.  We can't wait to meet Baby Jones!  Sean enjoyed the balloons I brought home for him.

Trip to Washington DC

Thursday I headed to Washington DC for work.  My company's main office is in Arlington VA.  Usually it is a quick trip where I fly in one day, have meetings all the next day and then fly home the next.  That was again the case but a co-worker convinced me to go and see some monuments before I left.  I couldn't go to DC for a second time and not see any monuments.  So after dinner we took a quick tour around and it was the perfect night to experience DC.
