Sleeping Bag Use #15

I think I'm going to write a kids book about a sleeping bag and it's adventures.  This week's use, a water cannon!
Fire in the hole!!!
Boom!
 Watch out!

Sean's favorite show right now is Jake & the Neverland Pirates, hence the water cannon.  We spend most of our days in character. I'm Chip and Ethan varies from Captain Hook to Cubby.  Sean is always Jake and Mikayla is baby Jake.  Our car is Bucky and it gets to go on many adventures!

Mischievous Mikayla

Oh this little girl keeps us on our toes!  She has had a rough few months.  She's been battling teeth, head colds, stomach flu (which hit us all but Ethan, lucky duck).  She still wakes up once or twice a night and sometime I think she was put on this earth just to torment me, but with that said she is a fun little girl that makes me smile everyday.   The other day mom said she reminds her so much of me and it's such a joy for her to get to experience it.  All I have to say, I guess payback is what they say it is.

Her and friend Finn hanging out.  She likes to pull his hair and steal his toys.  He is starting to fight back though.
What a difference 8-9 months makes!!  They grow so fast!
(Finn-1week, Mikayla (1 month)
She loves the dishwasher and find the most direct path to it when she hears you open it.  She also has found the one cupboard that has the "non-breakable" items and enjoys pulling everything out of it.  Now how can I get her to take the dishes out of the dishwasher and put them into the cupboard?!?!?
She loves music and enjoys dancing and Sean gets so excited when he gets to entertain her.

Some More Firsts

Sean had his first teeth cleaning this week.
He was an excellent patient but unfortunately he also has his first cavity!
He is back in swim lessons but we moved up a class so I no longer swim with him.  He doesn't listen to the instructor very well but I hoping that will change.  I think the main problem is that he would rather just jump around and do his own thing.

First Movie

New Year's day Ethan and I took Sean to watch his first movie in a movie theater.  Of course we had to see "Walking With Dinosaurs".  He was very intrigued by the movie and loved the popcorn, he hammered this bucket (with a little help from mom and dad).

8 Months

Mikayla is 8 months old.  She isn't walking yet but she is starting to try and stand alone and she is "transferring" between the table and couch or other items that are close.  I don't have official stats on her but she weighed in at 17lb 5oz when we took her to the doctor to check out a high fever the other day.  Poor girl has been fighting a cold for the last 2 months (as has mommy and Sean).

Her favorite things include stealing Sean's toys, playing drums on anything that makes a cool sound, if you are holding her she will turn over on your lap and push herself down to the floor when she wants down, she can clap her hands (this is new and she will do it all day long), she spends her day crawling around exploring and pulling every toy or item she can reach off the shelf and onto the floor.

Beethoven?

We had Girl's/Kid's night with Lisa last week and Sean always enjoys playing her piano but this time he decided to add singing to his music.

Come Visit Our Museum

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a museum in your house?  Well come visit the Jung house and check out our cool museum.

The Pterodactyl exhibit.
 The two legged dinosaur exhibit.
 The four legged dinosaur exhibit
The farm (complete with a dragon, cheeta and polar bear)
The tar pit with fossils and a dead tree
Don't forget your field guide to help you identify all the dinosaurs and to take notes on what you see.
 Backpack required!

*A little backstory:  When we redid the office and created it into a playroom/office we moved my work computer and items into our bedroom.  The other day I was working and Sean opened the door and said "I'm here to visit the museum".  I said "okay" asked him for his money and gave him a ticket.  He set up the exhibits of dinosaurs, farm and fossils and then told me that he liked my museum but I needed a Pterodactyl exhibit.  I had a meeting so told him that the museum was closing and that when I reopened I would try to have a Pterodactyl exhibit.  During my next break I created the Pterodactyl exhibit and then "reopened" the museum.  He said I did a good job on creating the exhibit.

His imagination is amazing.  He plays pretend and can think up the most amazing scenarios as he plays.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Ever since Christmas things have been very busy in our house.

We have built a farm out of Linkin Logs.  We had to build it exactly as the picture on the box.
We play with all the zoo animals and our zoo.
We act cute and pose for pictures.

We build our family out of blocks.

Play with Indiana and take over his bed.
