Mikayla is offically crawling and yesterday I came downstairs and when I sat on the couch next to her and mom she stretched out her arms and said mama! I couldn't believe how clear as day she said it. I thought it was a fluke but then this morning she said it again and held out her arms as I walked by. She is getting teeth and isn't very happy. I hope they pop up soon.

Big Brother
Sean is a wonderful big brother. I think he is very anxious for Mikayla to get old enough for him to play with. Whenever she cries he starts to sing his ABC's to her to calm her down and it usually works. The other night Mikayla woke up at 3am, I walked into their room and Sean (still asleep I think) started singing his ABC's. It calmed her down and got her back to sleep.

Oh The Things You Walk Into
I was downstairs feeding Mikayla I come upstairs and walk into the playroom and see stuffed animals all in front of the door as I come into the room I see Sean putting the hamper that the stuffed animals are usually in on next to other items he has placed surrounding Ethan's office chair.
I asked him what he was doing, he said "making it so the chair doesn't move". He climbs into the chair and continues playing his game. I guess that is one way to stop the chair from moving.
Mom has started watching Finn (my friends Rachel's boy that is 5 weeks younger than Mikayla). The other day Mikayla pulled herself up on the couch to see him, here they are holding hands. This same day she pulled his hair and headbutted him. He better watch out!
Sean 3 Years
Sean's 3 year stats:
Weight: 31lbs 6oz (50%)
Height: 38" (66%)
A few things about him.
He started going to preschool 2 days a week. He loves to play with other kids and I think the interaction and structure will be good for him.
He is still a picky eater but cheese, pudding, fruit, animal crackers, fruit snacks and veggies keep him happy (and messy)
His favorite things are dinosaurs and farm animals (especially the chickens) and anything that is How To Train Your Dragon.
He has an imagination that baffles me but makes me smile. His ability to turn everyday items and converstation into a wild adventure is something I hope he never loses.
His deep brown eyes and ear to ear grin make your heart melt.
Mikayla 6 Months
Mikayla's 6 month stats:
Weight: 15lbs 9oz (37%)
Height: 25.5" (30%)
A few things about my little girl.
She can pull herself up to standing and is very proud when she does.
She seems to have this curious nature and likes to look at the world from different angles. Especially when being held or fed.
She will probably be crawling within the next few weeks but for now she extends her legs, leans forward on her hands and turns her butt to get around. She is rather good at it and can move almost at the speed of light.
She is still a terrible sleeper, however, she is only waking up 1 or 2 times a night instead of every 2 hours so i'll take it.
She is strong willed or just plan bull headed which I think will make life interesting as she gets older.
She loves water and splashing in the bath is fun time.
She has the most precious smile and laugh that it melts your heart and makes you give into her strong will.

Money for a Garage
Grandma Barb took Sean to daycare the other day. When getting in her car he said "it rained on your car?"
Grandma: "Yes but then it froze because it is so cold."
Sean: Why didn't you put it in the garage?
Grandma: Because I don't have a garage.
Sean: Is it full of stuff?
Grandma: Yes, Snooks has stuff in it so I park in the driveway, but my goal is to someday have a garage, do you know what a goal is? It is something you want, something you aim for. Do you have any goals?
Sean: To make money.
Grandma: Why do you want to make money?
Sean: So I can buy you a garage.

Planet Erkit
Sean and Grandma Barb were playing the other day and they decided they were in a rocket ship going to planet "Erkit" (Sean's discovered a new planet I guess). Grandma said "Look there goes Mars, we are passing Venus, there is Jupiter, and I see Pluto" Sean says "Yep, I see Donald Duck".
Mikayla 6 Months
We don't have her 6 month stats yet but here is what she is up to these days.
She really wants to stand up and be active. Mom thinks she will be crawling in 2 weeks I think it will be in a month.
She loves her jumper but she fell asleep in it for the first time the other day. She must have been so tired because she let me lift her out, take her up to her room and then slept for 2 hours!
When Sean and I were carving the pumpkin I looked over and she had some how gotten to the table and was starting to pull herself up. I think the animal crackers were a good motivator.
Then while I was trying to get Sean to come in from playing outside and cooking dinner and keeping Indiana from running off, Mikayla made her way from the table to Indiana's bed. I couldn't figure out how she did it as we was still sitting upright. I tried to capture it on video but she didn't move as much as she did when I wasn't looking. I think she was straightening her legs and then scooting her butt to move forward.
Halloween
We carved a pumpkin.
Sean just wanted to poke holes in it and he didn't like the "icky" stuff that came out of it.
Grandma and Sean made cookies. They were really good and gone in about 2 days.
Deb took him and his friends Wyatt and Bryant to Main Street for trick or treating. He came home with alot of loot!
We went to Mom and Snooks to trick or treat but Sean didn't want to do anymore after that. Instead he helped hand out candy to the kids that came to the door.
