Getting Ready For Baby Sister

We continued to get ready for the arrival of baby sister this weekend.  Only 3 weeks until my due date but I'm aiming for May 1st, however, I have a bad feeling she will stay in their longer than expected.

Sean had fun as I pulled everything out of the crawl space and he wanted to play with it.  I explained these were for baby sister and he seemed okay with sharing some of them but he still wanted to play with them.  We set up the swing and he really wanted baby sister to come out so she could swing in it.  I told him I would be ready for that too but baby sister just wasn't ready to come out and play yet.

The new bookcase/toy storage for Sean's room (I'm having a hard time calling it the kids' room).

A nice, organized functioning closet.  It's weird seeing pink stuff in there!   And poor baby girl will be dressed in a lot of blue and brown.  I told Ethan we'll just make sure to bows in her hair so people know she's a girl.

I sure am lucky to have such a handy husband to take on these projects.

Sean and I also played our first game of hide and seek.  He didn't give me much time to hide because he would count 1,2,3 ready or not here I come.  When it was his turn to hide he would peek out of his spot making him easy to find but it was fun none the less.  It's hard for me to think he is old enough to understand the concept of these games, what happened to my baby?

Paint and Dance

We have been working on projects in preparation for fitting two kids into one room.  This weekend Sean wanted to help by "painting".  We decided to let him put his mark on the garage wall.

This is a whale.

This is a snake.

This is the almost final product.

He enjoyed some dancing while painting, I guess whatever inspires the artist.

While cleaning out his closet I found some kid song CDs that mom gave him a while ago.  He ran circles around his table from the beginning to end of one CD!

Say cheese!

Since the weather turned bad again he hasn't been able to play in his sandbox or water bucket, yet he always finds ways to play in the water.

Particular

Sean is going through this phase, or at least I really hope it is a phase, where he does not like change.  For example: the weather has been so nice that I have been trying to get him to switch to his "spring" jacket.  However, he says no I don't want that one.  Last fall we fought to get him out of his spring jacket and into his winter one.  Same thing with his sandals to shoes.  Anyway this morning we went through three shirts (2 were new ones I was trying to get him to wear, even the dinosaur on the front didn't convince him) and 2 pairs of socks before he was satisfied with what he was wearing.

I told him: "you are a very particular kid, you want what you want",  he said "yes, I ticular", crossed is arms and gave me a smile.

Snuggles with Baby Sister

Sean wanted to snuggle with baby sister last night.  He covered my belly with his blanket and then laid on top  giving her hugs.

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend with Papa and Grandma Jung in Whitehall.  The weather was beautiful!

Before Easter weekend Sean and I visited Lisa for "girl's night".  Lisa is always saying how she doesn't have any fun toys and I always tell her you don't need any.  Here is proof, Sean found a box and had a blast playing with it.

Sean is inside the box.  He got stuck and we had to come to his rescue.

Watching a movie with Papa Ron.

Dying eggs with Grandma Linda.  I think I had more fun than he did.

Sean finding his Easter baskets.

Since we were all dressed up for Easter service we tried to get a family photo.  I guess some are better than none.  Sean wasn't cooperative and just wanted to play with his Easter basket and Ethan never cooperates in pictures, so this is what we get.

Let the hunt begin!!!  We hid the eggs three times and Sean really enjoyed finding them.

All of us were sitting in the kitchen talking and all of a sudden I look over and see Sean crawling under Indiana and Indiana just standing there letting him do it.  For all the annoying things Indiana does he makes up for them with how good of a dog he is with Sean.
