Sanbox Fun

We received an Easter package from Aunt Afton yesterday and Sean immediately fell in love with the toys to play in the sand.  After a quick run to the store to get some sand Sean played all evening and cried when he had to come inside.

Sean has a new favorite book to read at bed time.

These books are left over from my Science teacher days and I never took them off the shelf when it converted to his room.  He enjoys going through the journey, he repeats all the words after I say them  (mouth, esaphogus, stomach, liver, blood, kidneys, heart (we feel his heart pounding), lungs (we take a deep breath), eye, etc. and then he wants me to show them where they are in his body.  I need to brush up on my anatomy!

Birthday Party & BBQ

We had a busy weekend with a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Jung, a BBQ with friends and attending Breckin's 1st birthday party.

Sean helping Breckin open presents.

Kicking back enjoying a good movie.

So tired but he wouldn't fall asleep without his goldfish snacks.  Our daycare provider has a foreign exchange student this year and Pascal and her were buying snacks for their spring break trip he saw this and said they had to get it for Sean.

Sean was spoiled at the birthday party and received a bouncy ball, candy, a lightsaber and nerf guns.  He also got to bring home some balloons had a blast fighting the balloons with the lightsaber.

Sean continues to talk up a storm and make us laugh and sometimes cry.  Here are two examples from this week.
1.  We were playing on his bed and all of sudden he stands up looks and me and says "shake your booty", and proceeds to shake his booty at me.  Not sure where he learned this.
2. I had my first moment where I was shopping with Sean and I almost left the cart of items and walked out of the store.  He was playing games on my phone and kept wanting to turn the volume all the way up.  Finally after the 3rd time of me turning it down, I took the phone away.  He proceeded to yell at me "your mean!", "I want the phone dammit!".  He of course said this as we headed down one of the busiest isles in the store.  I'm sure others found humor in it but I was mortified.  Not sure I'm going to survive this independent, strong headed 2 year old.

Another Fun Filled Week With Grandma

Grandma Barb came to visit and watch Sean while Deb took vacation over Spring Break.
Sean of course enjoyed spending time with Grandma and was really sad to see her go.  They made cupcakes, read many books, went to the park and took naps together.

Grandma, Sean and Indiana having some bubble fun.

Grandma climbed into Sean's tent with him so they could read a book in private.

He was playing on top of his train table and all of a sudden his foot started tapping.  He looked at me and said "look my foot tapping" and seemed so surprised.

The weekend before we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Jun.  Sean found one of Ethan's favorite toys when he was kid and played with it all day.

Sleep Talk

The other night Sean woke up around 12:30am screaming for mom.  I went into his room and he had kicked all his covers off and wanted me to cover him back up.  I covered him back up and crawled into bed with him. He proceeded to toss and turn for the next few hours.  During that time here is what I heard.

(giggle, giggle, giggle) you funny
STOP!  STOP DOING THAT!  STOP DADDY

Then he sat straight up in bed and looked at me and said, "no touch the cow poop no more".
Me: "okay I won't touch the cow poop anymore"
Sean: "no touch the cow poop"
Me: "I won't touch the cow poop but you don't either okay"
Sean: "I won't touch the cow poop anymore either"
Sean: "mom I hungry, I want to go down stairs"
Me: "It's 2:30 in the morning it's time to sleep"
Sean: "NO!! I hungry"
(after a few more no's)
Me: "okay let's go downstairs"

At this point I'm pretty sure he was awake.  I set him up with something to eat and turned on the TV.  He finally fell asleep on the couch about 4am.

Interesting Eating Habits

Sean is somewhat of a picky eater, however, I wouldn't say we struggle with getting him to eat the same things that other parents may struggle with their kids.  He doesn't eat meat and his favorite food consists of cheese, yogurt, peanut butter, fruit and vegetables.  This week he has eaten steamed broccoli and raw green peppers and said "yummm good".  What 2 year old eats steamed broccoli and raw green peppers without putting up a fight?!?!?!

Basketball, Horses, Wagons, oh my!!!

We decided to make a last minute trip to Billings and Hysham to visit family.  Sean had a very busy but very fun two days.   We stopped in Laurel to watch my cousin Rici's daughter Shaunessy play basketball in the Division B tournament.  They played an amazing, nail biting overtime game and unfortunately came up just a little short of the win.  I forgot how exciting high school bball can be!  Not sure I can handle the nerves if Sean ever decides to participate in sports.   Sean watched a little of the game but mostly played with cousin Bryan and stole Reese's Piece from Rici's pocket.

We then headed to Hysham to watch Ethan and Kyle sight in their new rifles.  Sean enjoyed running around the hay field.  He even raced Indiana, but Indy beat him out of the starting blocks and won.  He also found a new best friend in Larisah, and forced her to play in the mud puddles, take him on a horse ride and pull him around in the wagon.  And of course he had to visit the horses and cows and get clobbered by all the puppy's.

Making an animal train during bath time.  It takes a lot of concentration!
