Big Boy Room

Since Sean is sleeping in a big boy bed I decided it was time to change his room around.  We officially disassembled the crib, put up some decals and added shelves for a reading/play corner.

Indiana and Sean enjoying a good book

Ethan, Sean and Jon working on the book shelves.

The finished product.

Play time fort/tent and binoculars to spy on the creatures in the yard.

We visited Lisa last week and went to the dinosaur park in Bozeman.
Sean is really into dinosaurs so he really enjoyed the park!

ABC's.  Still mumbled but I think it's pretty good for an almost 2 year old!

Sean & Indiana

Sean & Indiana are becoming best buds.

They share everything.

They have races to see who can finish their ice cream treat first.

Indiana's in the home stretch. (Granted he had a lot of help from me)

Sean is close behind him. (Sean had a little help from dad)

I guess sharing is the best thing overall.

Other big news for this week is that Sean is sleeping in a big boy bed!  We just threw the full size mattress from the guest bed on the floor, so I wouldn't have to sleep on the floor anymore when he woke up in the middle of the night.  However, he loved the new bed so much he has stayed sleeping in it all on his own.

He is such a big boy, he can count to 10, say his abc's (well it's a little rambling but most letters really come through), and sleeping in a big boy bed!  Next up potty training!

Happy 60th Papa Ron

A week spent with Grandma Barb, a weekend spent with Papa Ron, Grandma Linda, Jon and Michelle Goodwin, Mom and Dad, wow what a lucky kid!!

Bath time with Grandma Linda

Hold it right there partner! Noone and I mean noone gets my sippy cup!

Butte folk festival.  Saw some amazing art by local artists and an awesome Japanese Taiko drum group.

Enjoy a granola bar while listening to the drums.

Grandma's house means yummy treats!

Store bought cake with a few personal touches.  Got a little carried away with the frosting tips.

Yummy chocolate cake!  Feels good on the two incisors I have coming in.

And yet another video of Sean tormenting Indiana.  I thought the dog was supposed to herd the kid not the other way around.  We have the best dog in the world!

Museum of the Rockies

Grandma Barb is here visiting and watching Sean this week.  Sunday we decided to go to the Museum of the Rockies.  Sean is really into dinosaurs right now so I thought he would enjoy it.

Walking through the hall of dinosaurs.  We heard "wow" and "what's that" alot.

Doing everything he can to try and squeeze through the cracks in the display to get to the bones.  He tried every slot and every arm and leg combination possible.

He wasn't too sure what to think of this big head.  For me all I could think about was all the glass and the poor person that has to clean that everyday after kids go through.

Levers and gizmos and gadgets oh my!!!  So much fun!

Playing in the Yellowstone Lodge kitchen.  This has really been an awesome addition to the museum and it's a great place to take kids!

Catching some fish.

I tried to help but I think he did better on his own.

The binoculars are supposed to be for animal watching not girl watching Sean!

Happy 4th of July!

Ethan decided to work on the 4th in exchange for taking Friday off.  Since he was at work Sean and I decided to head to Whitehall and spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Jung (they were in desperate need of their Sean fix).  Ron cooked us a wonderful breakfast, then we played in the "pool", went to visit Great Grandma Bertie and Grandma took Sean for a wagon ride around the neighborhood.

In the evening we decided to BBQ with friends Jon and Michelle Goodwin.  Sean only got to see a few fireworks before he went to bed, as you can see Ethan and Sean both look thrilled at the thought of staying up any later.  Guess we'll have to go all out next year.

Also check out these counting skills!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful and safe 4th!

Odds and Ends

Nothing overly exciting going on in the Jung household.  We are keeping our eyes on all the fires that are going on in MT.  We are very worried that our favorite camping spot near Mammoth is going to go up in flames, but so far they are holding it at bay.  We are keeping everyone battling the fires in our prayers.

Sean absolutely loves playing in the water.  He has no fear of it which is not good and reminds me everyday that I need to get us into some swim lessons.  We bought him a small pool to play with in the backyard and we took in the beautiful Saturday weather and enjoyed it.

Making a waterslide.  He would poor the water down the slide then run around and slide down.

Sunday night the wind blew so we brought the pool inside.  Sean proceeded to move all his toys from his toy drawer to the pool.  I wished we would have had balls to turn it into a ball pit I'm sure he would have enjoyed that.

Playing out in the sun all day in hard work.  I guess a ball works just as good as a pillow.

Sean has proceeded to find a new way to torture Indiana and he has hit our ankles a few times as well.  This toy may not be around much longer!

Dancing fool!  I didn't get it on camera but he also was dancing on top of his picnic table as well.  Hopefully not training for a future career choice!

Ethan decided to buy Sean some markers and a coloring book when we were at the store the other day.  Sean really enjoyed coloring and for the most part he stayed on the paper.  He has a few marks from trying to color on his belly and he only tried the eat the tip off one marker, so overall a success!

We also finished the entryway and put up the mirror and shelf.  The hooks are mine cart spikes that Ethan and I have collected during our hikes and camping trips over the years.
