Interesting weekend

Usually Sean is a very happy, independent baby but this weekend he would not let us put him down or be more than 2 inches from his side.  We think he may be getting ready to have some teeth pop up but so far they are still hiding.
One surprise that happened was when I went into his room at 3am to see what he was fussing about and there he was standing up at the edge of his crib, he had pulled himself up!  Needless to say we lowering the mattress is on the to do list for this weekend.  He really enjoys standing and has started to get brave and move while holding on to the couch.

New Adventures

Snuggles with Mickey

Finally nice weather.  What is this weird feeling green stuff?

Still trying to figure out this green stuff.

Papa you're home!!  Ethan has been working in
White Sulphur Springs so is gone 4 days out of the week.
We are sure happy to see him when he comes home.

Psst...Indy, come on open the door I want to play outside too.

You can run but you can't hide.

Thank you Ethan for a wonderful surprise graduation party.

Mother's Day

To all the mom's, soon to be mom's and future mom's.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom

P.S.

Sean has mostly been sleeping through the night and is waking up very happy in the morning.  My day starts with this face which makes everyday the best day ever!

Happy Friday!

I feel like it has been forever since we did a quality post so here are many videos and pictures.  As you will see Sean has found his feet and enjoys the fact that he is flexible enough to eat them.  He is mobile and will go for anything that strikes his curiosity.  I've become a jungle gym, and Sean is still infatuated with Indiana who is slowly warming up to him.

6 months

Sean had his 6 month check up on Friday.  He weighs 16lbs 2.5oz and is 26.6 inches long.  The check up went very well and the Doctor was again surprised by all the things he can do.  He got shots and handled them very well.

He has started "hopping" instead of commando crawling and is getting into anything that is in his eyesight.  He is a very curious little boy, which makes me fear for what the future may hold.
