Belated Merry Christmas

I'm sorry for the late post we have been busy getting ready for the holiday and then enjoying family, friends and food.  We hosted Christmas at our house this year and it was wonderful.  Sean enjoyed opening his presents, even though the 3 days before Christmas I had to retape a few gifts and almost hide them all, but his favorite present has been his books.  Grandma Barb stayed for a few extra days to watch Sean and all they've done for the past two days is read book after book.  We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a safe New Year!

Rock on kiddo!
Don't you dare open that present!
 I said no little mister!
Okay now we can open presents.  Start with the biggest one first!
What do you mean I'm not supposed to stand on the table?  Great gift Gma and Gpa Jung!
Kyle and Valena's dog Dally waiting for a present.
Look what Santa hid behind the curtain...Sean's first bike!
There's Dally's present.  Great giraffe chew toy that lasted only a few minutes.
Mother/Son cuddle time, great end to Christmas day!
Reading time with Grandma.

He can sing his ABC's!  Well sort of.

Ready, Set, Go

This weekend we were busy little bees and Sean was a big help. (please don't judge us on our parenting skills with all the electrical cords and dangerous tools you see in the back ground).

Helping dad build some presents in the garage.

Helping mom put some finishing touches on the presents.

Playing with "new" toys that were hiding in the back of the cabinet.  Notice all of the actual toys in the background that are still nicely put away?!?

One little monkey jumping on the bed.  Almost fell off and bumped his head.

Dancing the night away.

Low Key

I don't have much to report on as this weekend was pretty low key and Sean wasn't cooperative in letting me capture the funny moments.  Ethan worked on some projects in the garage and helped our friends Mason and Nicole move.  I got to have a few hours to myself and go antiquing (my most favorite form of relaxation) and Sean was busy as ever.  One exciting item of the weekend was that we got to meet the newest edition to our friends the Brauns.  Emily Reese is as beautiful as can be.  You truly forget how tiny they are and how much they change over a year.

One funny moment captured was Sean trying to figure out how to use my headband.  He had seen me put it on my head and he was trying to figure out how to get it to stay on his.  He ended up just putting it on there and tilting his head back so it would stay.

Christmas Stroll

I forgot to mention in the last post that we also took Sean to his first ever Bozeman Christmas Stroll.  We got to see Santa ride through town and turn on the lights, take in the festive atmosphere and get our 2011 ornament.  We then went out to dinner with our friends Mason, Nicole, Jon and Michelle to celebrate Michelle's 30th birthday.  It was a great evening spent with great people.

Catch up

This week we continued to try and recover from the flu, luckily Sean hasn't gotten it yet.  This weekend we tried to catch up on everything we meant to do last weekend.  Shopping, decorations inside and outside of the house, tree up and decorated and a few Christmas presents made. Maybe next weekend we'll get all caught up.

Sean wasn't sure what to think if the tree but he loves all the ornaments.
Needless to say the tree it a little top heavy.

Sean played in the snow while Ethan and I put up the lights.
We need to get him some winter gear because he loved it.
Sean's favorite toys have become any kitchen utensils or things with cords.  Not sure why he was using it to scratch his head?

I'm sure one day Sean will beat Indiana at this game.

Happy Thanksgiving

We headed to Whitehall and had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Things took a turn for the worst when Friday night I got the stomach flu and spent the next day in bed.  Ethan is fighting it off today and we are keeping a close eye on Sean just waiting for it to hit.  Hopefully it will skip him.  We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Jung men getting ready to carve the turkey.

Beautiful table, excellent food and wonderful company.

Hope and Sean hanging out after dinner.
Playing dominoes.

Cat/Griz

This past weekend was the rival Cat/Griz game.  Since it was so cold I decided I would much rather stay inside and watch the game, so I volunteered to watch my friend Lisa's nieces and nephews while her family went to the game.  Most people told me they would rather face the cold than watch 5 kids under the age of 5.  They were all very well behaved with the exception of Sean who continued to get into things he shouldn't and refused to take a nap.
Quinn (4), Nora (10 months), Ty (2) and Zane (3)
Nora wasn't feeling well but her style made up for it.
Sean's worried look was very fitting for the game.
Sean and Zane cleaned for Lisa during half time.
Sean continues to keep us on our toes.  He used the toy to the right of the toy box to climb up on the couch.
He thought he was the king of the mountain.

Family and fun

We headed to Billings to visit Uncle Kyle, Valena, Grandma Barb and Aunt Thelma.  It was a blast as we got to play with Kyle and Valena's dog Dally, she was great at giving kisses and we got to eat at Olive Garden and Red Lobster!

Eating spaghetti at Olive Garden...ymmmy!

Enjoying the stage at Barnes & Noble

Sean has been such a cutie lately, pictures and videos just don't do justice. Ethan and I spend most of our night just laughing. He has learned how to play fetch with Indiana and has learned how to open the child safety locks on the cabinets (hopefully he forgets that he knows how to do this!).

Such a ham!  He pulled Indiana's blanket into the kitchen and was laying on it.  Then he grabbed the pot holder and was playing peek-a-boo.

Playing is hard work, must rest for a few minutes.

Hair Cut and Shots

This week Sean got his first haircut.  He did very well for the hairdresser and got an airplane sticker.  He also had his 1 year check up and measured in at 20lbs 11oz and 29 1/2 inches long.  He got four shots and a toe prick.  He didn't cry too bad but he wanted cuddles all day.  The Dr. said he is perfect, growing right along the normal curve and is impressed with how well he is walking.

Happy Halloween!

Ethan and I had a hard time picking out a costume for Sean this year.  Actually we found some really cool ones but we couldn't bring ourselves to spend $30-$40 on a costume, so we ended up with whatever was left on the shelf.  Meet the cuddly lion (costume was a tad small).  Sean was really interested all the kids coming to the door, he wanted to join in on the fun and follow them down the street.

On to the Next Chapter

Dear Sean,

People told us that becoming parents would change our lives forever.   Well, we kind of figured that, however, what they didn’t tell us was how becoming parents makes everything else in our world seem less important.  We never knew that the simplest smile, smallest step, strangest noise and yes, even funkiest smelling diaper could bring such happiness to our life.  Thank you for reminding us that it is the joy of family, friends and the simple pleasures that make life worth living.  You truly are a gift from God and we can’t wait to experience the next chapter of your life.   Happy first birthday baby boy!

Love Mom & Dad

Birthday Bash!

Thank you Aunt Afton for the wonderful birthday outfit.

Thank you friends and family for all the wonderful toys and warm clothes.

I preferred the presents that didn't require unwrapping.  I could just get down to business.

They make a good step stool as well.

Andrew Braun was a big help unwrapping presents and he showed me how to use all my new toys.

Why is everyone starring at me and what's up with the singing?

Okay if you insist I try this stuff.

Hey that's not bad, I'll try some more.

Yummy!

All gone!

Indiana had to spend the day outside, which he didn't particularly enjoy, but there were too many people for him to be running around the house.  At the end of the day I wanted to make sure that he knew he was still the best puppy in the world.
