2 Month Check Up
Today Sean had his 2 month check up. He is a little chunk weighing in at 12lbs 1oz and is 23 inches long. He also got his first round of shots. He was a trooper and managed to get through it with only a few tears.

Happy Holidays!
This week we are busy preparing for the arrival of Ethan's Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Debbie, Uncle Steve, his sister Afton and her family. They arrive on Friday from Wisconsin and are coming for Sean's baptism on Sunday. Afton and family will be staying through Christmas. It will be the first time in almost 6 years that we have all been together during the holidays, and the first time in almost 3 years that we will see them. Finally we get to meet our niece Sidney! We are really looking forward to spending time together. My mom and brother are also coming to the baptism, I sure hope weather cooperates this holiday!
Luckily Sean is being a wonderful boy this week and allowing me to get some housework done before they arrive.

A co-worker of mine made this cute outfit for Sean. I couldn't resist getting a picture. Thanks Heidi!

Busy Week
This has been a busy but very good week for us. Sean seems to be growing and learning everyday. He has more and more awake times that do not involve crying so it has been fun playing with him and watching him take in the world.
The big task at hand this week was to find a daycare provider. Thanks to some good friends we were able to find two great in-home daycares. Choosing between them was tough but one only lives a couple blocks from our house so we decided that would be the most convenient. It will be bitter sweet when I have to return to work at the beginning of the year. I'm fortunate to love my job and have missed all of my co-workers and students so am looking forward to returning, however, will find it hard to not spend my days with Sean especially as he is getting to what I think is the most fun stage.
Sorry I don't have any new pictures or videos but will post some more soon.

Dance moves and tall tales.
How Ethan gets him to sleep.
Maybe he cries so much to get back at us for the mean things we do to him?

Ups and Downs
Well our holiday weekend did not turn out as planned and was full of up and down emotions. It began on Thanksgiving when weather kept both Ethan and my family from coming to visit. So Sean's first Thanksgiving was spent with just mom and dad on the couch watching TV in their PJ's. Hopefully next years will be more eventful.
The next blow to the emotions was on Friday when Ethan was told that the only work his company had for him was in Billings and when Ethan told his boss that he couldn't leave his 1 month old son and wife at home alone his boss told him he would call him when he had work. So we spent the weekend figuring out how we were going to survive on one income. Ethan went and talked to his boss on Monday after a good talk they were able to find him some work in town, hopefully it will last a while.
As you can see from the pictures Sean's emotions were up and down as well. He has become less fussy for the most part (last night he gave dad a run for his money), he is more awake during the day and taking everything in. He also is smiling a lot but every time I try to capture it on camera is turns into crying or a yawn; guess he is tired of pictures.
Hope you all had a fabulous holiday weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving?
Sean's first Thanksgiving and weather kept family from coming to visit. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday so I'm very sad that we didn't get to celebrate as we should. Guess the new tradition is spending the day in your pj's watching TV. I did make ham, mashed potatoes and stuffing so at least there was some real food!
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Father, Son Bonding Time
Ethan finally finished working in Big Sky. Although he is very proud of the work he did building an 8 million dollar home he is glad to be home at more decent hours. Not sure where work will take him next but Sean and I are sure happy to spend more time with him.
Sean always puts his hands in the most interesting places when he sleeps. Sometimes they are clasp nice on his chest, sometimes stretched out completely above his head. Yesterday I think he was trying to say just leave me alone people!

Rough days...
Well we've had a couple of rough days as Sean has been crying when he isn't sleeping or eating. Last night he developed a sound of phlegm in his throat and nasal cavity, so we were worried he may have caught a cold. I decided to take him into the doctor just to be safe. Turns out that he may have baby reflux, which would account for his crying and other issues. The doctor gave us some medicine and I guess we'll see if things get better over the next few days. Even when he isn't feeling good he does enjoy his swing.

To Grandma & Grandpa's house we go
It had been 3 weeks since Sean was born and Grandma and Grandpa couldn't wait any longer to see him. So we decided to head to Whitehall for the day. Grandma sure didn't want to put him down. Great Grandma Bertie, Rachel & Darrel Warner, Pad, Kristen and Hope Morarity and Diane Larsen also came to see him.
